Native People of California
Students will begin by learning about the dynamic Native People of what is now called California. Over 500 native tribes occupied this land for more than 20,000 years, prior to contact with Spanish Missionaries. Each had a unique culture, including language, art, customs, shelter, tools, food, and clothing. Students will create "one-pagers" showing their new knowledge.
